Hello Scott:

Great question!!!!!

Here is a couple of options:

1.  Keith Alan - He has a Campardy program (Conjunction of camps and Jeopardy).  He performs over 50 times a year for camps in his area and really knows how to get the bookings and has an enrollment method of teaching you how to get the bookings, what to charge, how to perform, etc.  Also, he has a school program called Learn-A-Thon which focuses on academic institutions and fundraisers for them.  He is working on a program for retirement homes as well, but I believe that it is still in the works.  He owns various DigiGames systems and makes a fortune at it.  His teaching program is at cost, of course, and you can shoot him an email at keithalan@snet.net

2.  Team Trivia - Go to www.teamtrivia.com and read about them.  They have a 'Franchise Opportunities' tab on their site.  Their focus, I believe, is mostly for trivia at bars.  Many of their franchisees are DigiGames users.  You purchase an area and they assist you in bookings for your area.

3.  Have you tried Googling 'Booking Agents'?  A quick call to a few on the huge list of results might net you some energetic highly skilled agents that step up to the plate on your behalf.

4.  A great option is your local Chamber of Commerce.  Be sure to sign up as a member and attend their meetings.  This immediately gets you in touch with other business owners who will be planning their corporate parties (Christmas/'End of Year') very soon.  Don't just stop their though.  Sign up to be a Chamber member in other cities around your current city.  Generally, members like to do business with other members and being a member gets you into the spotlight.  Your local Chamber should be able to provide you an email list of all members and a very well worded, eye catching, email will likely get you some nice paying corporate parties.  Get some video of you in action with the system, put it on YouTube and put a link in the letter.  Nothing speaks better than a real-life performance with YOU as the entertainer - even if it is just a simple basic video.  We would be happy to review any email drafts you put together for mass emailing and give our honest critiques.

5.  Talk to your local TV stations and barter a 1/2 hour weekly spot for performing trivia with kids.  The TV station benefits since the prizes would be furnished by local businesses and the local businesses would pay to have their product/service highlighted.  You gain because of the exposure and you can advertise on your site 'As Seen On TV'.  There are some legal considerations though, so be sure to talk to us if you land a deal so that you or the TV station don't get sued by the networks or shut down by Freemantle (the Freemantle guys don't laugh and joke around - believe me!).  Anyways, there are hundreds of local TV stations across the country that do this and are often sponsored by McDonald's.

I believe this is a good start for you.  I am sure many others have some great ideas too, and hopefully your question starts a good thread.

Does anyone know of any booking agents that may do some corporate work?  I'm thinking companies that may want to do some training in certain cities.  If we supplied this booking agents with lists of everyone that has this software and equipment, it could get us all some corporate gigs.

2 challenges
1) I don't know which agents to call

2) Once we knew who to call, It would be better to call them with a list of people and cities....would have more clout.

little update.

I did receive my 110's buzzers when I got home yesterday.  2 days after i ordered them.  WOW!!!  Thanks guys.

The family played with them last night.  They had a blast.  Just need to get a few things ironed out and I think I'm ready to go live next week!!

I haven't received my tm 110's yet.  It's only been a few days since I ordered them, but I was able to book a show at a local Country Club.  I just stopped in and showed them the demo on my laptop..without the units.  She said they were looking for something fun to do to draw more members to the lounge.

She's excited and already putting it in the newsletter.  She also is considering doing some occasional "kids" things with it as well.

Thanks for the great videos for that!!

2 shows booked already and counting!

Experienced hosts...what are some of the things that you've learned from hosting events that you really didn't foresee when you started doing this?

Things you've learned to do or avoid?

Thanks!!
